Definitions:

Defined Cup

Having a designated space sewn into the piece with either underwire, elastic support, molded capsule, or support seam for the breasts to sit such as demi cups, molded cups, soft underwire cups, padded cups, shelf bras, etc

Underwire

Rounded wires sewn under the bra seams to lend support and definition to the bustli

Corset

A garment which covers the torso from hip to bust with the capability of shaping the upper body using some kind of adjustable closure system, such as laces, ribbons, rows of hook-and-eye clasps, etc.

Flat-Front (Corset)

A garment with the capability of shaping the upper body using some kind of adjustable closure system, such as laces, ribbons, etc. which has no defined cups

Bustier

A garment which covers the torso from hip to bust designed to shape or define the bustline

Teddy

A garment wherein the top and bottom pieces are attached in the middle (either as one piece or as multiple pieces that are attached)

Waist Cincher

A garment with the capability of shaping the waistline using some kind of adjustable closure system, such as laces, ribbons, etc.

Garter Belt

A garment which sits at or above the hips from which thigh high stockings are suspended to keep them in plac

Leg Garter

A garment which is worn around the upper thigh as decoration

To measure band/cup size:

Band

Measure the circumference of the body directly underneath the bust, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the floor the whole way around and taught against the skin

Cup

Measure the bust at its largest point, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the floor the whole way around and laying flush to the skin but not drawn in. Count one cup size for every inch difference between the band measurement and bust measurement as follows: A = 1 inch, B = 2 inches, C = 3 inches, D = 4 inches, DD = 5 inches, E = 6 inches, F = 7 inches, G = 8 inches, H = 9 inches, HH = 10 inches, I = 11 inches, J = 12 inches, K = 13 inches, etc. *Note: If the breast tissue lacks volume or sags, complete the measurement wearing a unpadded bra. If a padded bra is used, subtract 1-2 inches from the bust measuremen
